Richard Giordano
     (Biography)

Richard J. Giordano was raised on the south side of Chicago and subsequently attended Michigan State University from which he received a bachelor’s degree in physical education and biology.  He spent four years teaching at the middle school level and twenty six years as a secondary school principal.  Ever present throughout these years was the ongoing consternation that education in the public schools (the learning/remembering process) was often tedious and arduous, with a deficit of enjoyment for students and teachers alike.  And like Mark Twain’s aphorism about the weather, everybody talked about it . . .  but nobody did anything about it.  Richard devised and field-tested variations of Making up Crap/Synergistic Thinking while a high school principal, and then as a consultant at the corporate level following his departure from public school education. Today he collaborates with university SASS (Student Athlete Support Services) staffs around the country to bring this uniquely effective and enjoyable learning dynamic to high-performing student-athletes.
